I read law at Istanbul University Faculty of Law from 1998 to 2003. I founded my own law office and practised independently for 22 years. I specialised in commercial, criminal, and international law.

About me

I was born on 28 March 1980 in Benliahmet Village, Selim district, Kars. After completing my primary education at Benliahmet Village Primary School, I attended Selim High School, Kazım Karabekir Anatolian Teacher Training High School, and Kars Republic High School.

In 1998 I was admitted to Istanbul University Faculty of Law and graduated in 2003. After completing my legal internship in Istanbul, I began independent practice in 2004. That same year I founded Aybirdi Hukuk Bürosu and practised as an independent lawyer in Istanbul for approximately 22 years.

Throughout my professional life I appeared as an expert guest on national television channels in the field of law. My legal articles were also published in various national and local newspapers and news sites.

Since July 2026 I have been serving as Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye.

    I began independent practice after my internship. The office took the name Aybirdi Hukuk Bürosu.

Public office

I am Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye. I took up the post in July 2026. After more than twenty years of independent practice in Istanbul I now use that legal background in public administration. After I took office, the Esenyurt District Governorate announced a visit under this title.

Writing

I have been writing since 2012. The longest run is on Habername: judicial discretion and conviction of conscience, the place of the defence, individual application to the Constitutional Court, Article 301, conditional release under Decree-Law 671, social-media and cyber offences, assize practice, settlement, narcotics, eviction, postponement of bankruptcy, enforcement, invoice claims, the marital property regime, the copyright statute, mobbing, resignation for just cause, recognition and enforcement. In 2018–2019 Sahipkıran published three notes — the S-400, the Azov / Russia–Ukraine file, and the nuclear-crisis essay. What follows is a selection; the full Habername run is on my author page.
